Join us on Thursday, October 24th for an intimate evening tasting handcrafted scotch whiskies from the Bruichladdich distillery paired with cuisine from Olive & Mint in Foxborough, MA. Dinner will be hosted by Jason Cousins, Brand Ambassador for the Bruichladdich and Westland distilleries.

A Tale of Two Islands – Bruichladdich Scotch Whisky & Mount Gay Rum

Join us on Friday, August 2nd for a tale of two islands with Bruichladdich and Mount Gay Brand Ambassador Jason Cousins! Sample rums from Mount Gay, located in the eastern Caribbean island of Barbados and whiskies from the Bruichladdich distillery, located in Scotland on the island of Islay. We’ll delve into the history, culture, and distilling techniques of both distilleries and taste authentic Caribbean food such as jerk wings, fish cakes, beef patties, and Bajan style mac and cheese.
First, we’ll travel to the beautiful sun soaked Caribbean island of Barbados where Mount Gay (originally Mount Kilboa) has been produced since 1703. Barbados is smaller than Islay with a land mass of 166 square miles and a population of almost 300,000. Enjoy a welcoming and refreshing rum punch cocktail before exploring various expressions from the distillery, including:

The 240 square mile island is inhabited by ~3,000 people and a multitude of sheep, and is most famous for the peated, smoky whiskies produced in the region. We’ll be sampling various single malts from the Bruichladdich distillery, including:

2019 Robert Burns Supper (Burns Night)

A Burns supper is a celebration of the life and poetry of Robert Burns (January 25, 1759 – July 21, 1796), a popular Scottish poet. Suppers are typically held on or near his birthday and are known as Robert Burns Day, or more commonly, Burns Night. Join us as for an evening of poetry, music, and a multi-course meal paired with whiskies from around the world.
Robin Robinson and Bikram Singh will be your guides for the night, with Tim Holmes on bagpipes and Gordon Craig reciting poetry. Courses will be prepared by executive chef Matt Bauer and will be paired with whiskies from Blackadder, Chieftain’s, Spey and Amrut.
