When discussing classic unpeated sherried Scotch, names like Macallan, Glendronach, and Aberlour often dominate the conversation—but Glenfarclas remains one of the great traditional benchmarks of the style.

We are delighted to welcome Deborah Stewart, International Sales Executive for Glenfarclas, to Norfolk Wine & Spirits for a special portfolio tasting.

A native of Speyside, Deborah began her whisky career at just 18 as a distillery tour guide. Over the years she has worked as a brand ambassador and brand manager for several major single malts before joining Glenfarclas in 2017. Today, her wonderfully varied role encompasses international sales, marketing, brand advocacy, PR, new product development and more, with particular responsibility for Western Europe and the Americas.

For someone whose two great passions are whisky and travel, it is rather fitting that she will be traveling to Norfolk to share Glenfarclas with us!

🥃 The Glenfarclas Story

Family-owned by the Grant family since 1865, Glenfarclas remains one of Scotland’s relatively few independent, family-owned and managed distilleries. Its traditional house style combines robust malt character with sherry cask maturation, creating whiskies where the spirit and sherry work together rather than one simply overwhelming the other.

At Norfolk Wine & Spirits, we’ve explored Glenfarclas through both official releases and independent bottlings. Some of those IBs can showcase enormous sherry influence; the official Glenfarclas range often tells a subtler story of balance between malt, fruit, sherry, spice and oak.
