Barrell Craft Spirits, based in Louisville, Kentucky, is an independent blender and bottler of unique, aged, cask strength sourced whiskey and rum, recognized for its blending expertise. We design, produce, and launch Spirits with a focus on what people want now and not what has been successful in the past. This affords us access to some of the most interesting and delicious spirits in the world.
Our goal is to select and blend products that explore different distillation methods, barrels and aging environments, and bottle them at cask strength. Every batch is produced as a limited release and has an intentionally distinct flavor profile.
Barrell Craft Spirits has been highly rated by Whisky Advocate, including Editor’s Choice, and was named Best American Whiskey of 2018 in Forbes by whiskey authority Fred Minnick. We’ve been awarded Best Bourbon twice at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC), once in 2017 and again in 2020. Other SFWSC awards include Best Small Batch Bourbon, Best Small Batch Bourbon over 11 years, Best Small Batch Bourbon 6-10 years and Best Overproof Rum, as well as nine Double Gold medals and seven Gold medals. Our award-winning line of products is currently sold in 43 states throughout the United States.

Dovetail is blended to highlight some of our favorite flavors. Woody bourbon; terroir driven Dunn Cabernet; toasted French oak; Late Bottled Vintage Port pipes;
black strap molasses casks; all working in tandem to create a buttery and deep whiskey as unique as it is delicious. Dovetail took almost a year to get right, from blending to labeling, all coming together in a seemingly perfect point.

Our Infinite Barrel Project is a constantly evolving whiskey that is different with each bottling date. After we remove a portion of the Infinite barrel to bottle, we replace it with mature whiskeys. The result is an ever changing and increasingly complex whiskey. Some previous blends include Tennessee Whiskey, Tennessee Rye finished in Curacou barrels, Indiana Whiskey, Polish Malted Rye, Scotch, and Irish Whiskey.

We’re thrilled to announce the release of our first-ever Barrell Whiskey American Vatted Malt. This bottling is a blend of exclusively American single malt whiskeys. We partnered with small and large producers across the country to select whiskeys that express the full diversity of American terroir and style. The resulting blend is remarkable, and we are proud to be the first to showcase the growing category of American single malt this way.

Rye Batch 1- We set out to do something different and unconventional with Rye Batch 1. We combined sweeter malted barley rye barrels with spicier high-rye barrels to create a unique flavor experience. This whiskey is a rye that touches on everything we love, it punches hard with the proof, and it finishes long and lean.
Rye Batch 2- Rye Batch 002 is our second release that expands on our interpretation of a traditional rye whiskey, combining two very diverse ryes. We selected barrels of a 100% malted rye distilled and aged in Poland for 5 years in new charred #3 oak barrels from World Cooperage. We then blended it with an Indiana high malted barley rye that was aged in Indiana and Kentucky for over 5 years. The Polish Rye is dry, with a rich nutty flavor, and pairs beautifully with the lush Indiana Rye, resulting in a sweet and savory balance of malted chocolate and roasted cashews.
Rye Batch 3- (Won Double Gold in 2020 San Francisco Spirits Competition) Rye Batch 003 is a blend of rye whiskeys from Indiana, Poland, Tennessee and Canada, all with distinct personalities and varying ages. We started with Tennessee Rye barrels with caramel and dried fruit notes and added the Polish Rye for its nuttiness and mouthfeel. We then carefully layered in 13-year Canadian Rye to bring out earthy notes of grass, spearmint and apple. The Indiana Rye was the finishing touch to highlight the candied fruit and spiciness you expect from a rye.

This is a blend of 14-20 year old rum blends from Guyanese Demerara, Jamaica and Barbados. Jamaican rums can be at once endlessly rewarding in their complexity but a challenge to grapple with, so blending in Barbados and Demerara rums allows each of the distinct aromas to shine while focusing the profile around the berry fruit and peppery spice shared by all of these styles. Patience and a splash of water reward the drinker with boundless entertainment: innumerable tropical fruits, maritime minerals and heady florals.

Bourbon batch 12
Barrell Bourbon (Batch 012) Regularly $84.99 Sale $74.99
Batch 012 is a high rye bourbon comprised of 9-year-old barrels and selected older bourbon stocks, most of which were aged in the lower sections of the rick house. This gentler aging style makes Batch 012 a fruit-forward bourbon that shows its spice in the mid-palate, and its drawn out complexity in a long, layered finish.
Whiskey Batch 5 Sold Out
Barrell Whiskey Batch 005 is a spice driven blend of 9-year-old whiskeys finished in Amaro barrels, American Brandy barrels, Bourbon barrels, and Cognac casks. We finished each whiskey separately and assembled a final blend that also includes Straight Bourbon. This finish then blend technique allows us to focus on the key flavors of each component first, and then on harmony and precision while blending. We believe that this batch is far greater than the sum of its parts.
Whiskey Private Release CH31 Apricot Brandy Finish

Private Release Whiskey CH31 is a microblend of Kentucky Whiskeys aged up to 18-years-old in ex-bourbon barrels and then given a unique secondary barrel finish before being bottled at cask strength. This particular microblend was finished in an Apricot Brandy barrel for up to 4 months.
Whiskey Private Release CH06 Rhum Agricole Cask Finish

Private Release Whiskey CH06 is a microblend of Kentucky Whiskeys aged up to 18-years-old in ex-bourbon barrels and then given a unique secondary barrel finish before being bottled at cask strength. This particular microblend was finished in a Rhum Agricole cask.
Bourbon Batch 25 (Won Gold in LA Spirits Competition & 95 in NY International Spirits Competition 2020)

Batch 025 highlights the unique additions that secondary grains contribute to aged bourbon. 13 to 15-year corn-forward bourbons and 5 to 9-year-old wheated bourbons were slowly layered in with a selection of 9-year-old high-rye bourbons, revealing notes from the entire spectrum of available flavors. A portrait of finely tuned blending, Batch 025 is citrusy and peppery, without losing the opulence and oaky ease of the older ingredients.
Bourbon Batch 26
Barrell Bourbon (Batch 026) $89.99 Sale 74.99
Barrell Bourbon Batch 026 was created by combining 9, 10, 11, 13 and 15-year-old barrels in several blending steps. The first was a fusion of 9-year-old high rye barrels peppery and pointed on the palate, 10-year-old oak forward barrels, and sweet, toasty 11-year-old barrels for mouthfeel and classic baking spice notes. The second balanced citrus forward 10, 12 and 15-year-old barrels with spicy, floral 9-year-old high rye barrels. These two blends were gradually co-mingled resulting in an intriguing bourbon that dances between fruit and spice long into its finish.
