Road Trip Through Mexico: Day 6 (Tuesday, September 27, 2022)

Join us on Tuesday, September the 27th at 6:30 pm, as we continue our Road Trip Through Mexico with a very special “Meet the Maker” event: Origen Raiz Mezcal with Asis Cortés from the founding family!

All aboard for stop #6 of our agave road trip! This week we will focus on Origen Raiz Mezcal, a brand by the Cortés family, creators of El Jolgorio, Nuestra Soledad, Dixibee and other fabulous mezcal brands. Origen Raiz is produced in an area of Durango, Mexico, preserved and protected by a government agency that monitors the populations or agave specimens.

Asis Cortés will share valuable experiences from his past 10 years involved in the mezcal world. He is the founder of Mezcalogía, a mezcal bar in Oaxaca, and has produced, designed and promote several brands. Asis will introduce three premium expressions from Origen Raiz:

• Origen Raiz Cenizo, Malpaís
• Origen Raiz Chacaleño, Las Quebradas
• Origen Raiz Madrecuishe, Valles Centrales
• …and other mezcals will be added to the lineup soon!

Note: if you participated in Road Trip Through Mexico before, please bring your passport and veladora glass. Water, non-alcoholic refreshments, and light snacks will also be served. Must be 21+ years old to attend. Space is limited.
