Goldschmidt Vineyards Chelsea Guidestone Rise Merlot

Named after Nick Goldschmidt’s eldest daughter, Chelsea Merlot highlights the juicy red fruit and spice notes from barrel-aged Merlot. Sourced from a beautiful vineyard just east of Geyserville, Chelsea Merlot is big and rich & it’s obvious this Merlot is made with Cabernet Sauvignon drinkers in mind. The aromatics are opulent & very floral. No spice but more depth & richness than normal Merlots. Black fruits were a common theme. Black cherry & plum in the nose. The mouth follows with rich dark fruits of plum, blackberry & some chocolate texture. Lush ripe tannins, full body & the nice creamy velvet tongue-wrapping flavor.
