Three acres of dry-farmed hillside vines give this Cabernet its distinctive identity. Lone Tree sits approximately 800 feet above Alexander Valley, where an east-facing exposure encourages slow ripening while avoiding the strongest afternoon heat.
Winemaker Nick Goldschmidt—whose career includes 13 years at Simi—captures blackberry, dark plum and cherry, framed by toasted French oak and warm spice. Dense yet silky, the palate combines generous fruit with persistent, polished tannins.
Aged 18 months in French oak, 70% new, this genuinely small-production Cabernet rewards vineyard-focused exploration.
