The core of Faust comes from the Coombsville Estate as well as from vineyards in Rutherford and Oakville. This wine jumps out of the glass with aromas of fresh black cherry and plum. Layers of savory cherry compote, earth, cedar and graphite are rounded out by a long finish with hints of dark chocolate, balanced acidity and minerality. It opens with a lovely perfume of red and black cherries, ripe raspberry, and violet. The palate enters lush and supple, with blackberry, cassis, coffee, and dark chocolate flavours. The finish is long and complex, with lingering dark fruit.
