Meet Reed Walker, Cotton and Reed Rum Distillery

On Tuesday, Norfolk is hosting Head Distiller and co-founder of Cotton & Reed Rum Distillery, Reed Walker. Reed Walker and his co-founder Jordan Cotton are former Nasa strategists who left the aerospace industry to build a rum distillery in Washington D.C. Reed is in Boston to launch the Cotton and Reed rums and a Massachusetts-exclusive, navy-strength, single barrel rum. Nick and Zach Taylor, from Taylor & Taylor Whiskey Co. partnered with Cotton & Reed and hand-bottled a first-fill ex-Blanton’s barrel of 57% ABV rum that will be previewed for the first time at Norfolk Wine & Spirits.
