Yamazaki occupies a special place in whisky history. Founded by Shinjiro Torii in 1923, Yamazaki was Japan’s first commercial malt whisky distillery and became one of the driving forces behind Japanese whisky’s extraordinary rise on the world stage.

Yamazaki 12 Year Old is one of the distillery’s signature expressions and, for many whisky drinkers, was their introduction to serious Japanese single malt.

Elegant and beautifully balanced, it brings together aromas of ripe orchard and tropical fruit, citrus, honey and gentle oak. The palate develops layers of peach, pineapple, orange, vanilla and subtle spice, with the influence of Japanese Mizunara oak adding an aromatic, slightly exotic dimension. The finish is refined, gently spicy and lingering.
