Version Francaise Ninkasi 2017 92 proof (700 ml)

Building on the success of the Lyon breweries of the same name, Ninkasi began making whisky in 2015 following its establishment in Tarare in 2012 (on the site of a former dye works). 2019 will mark the launch of Track 001, the distillery’s first whisky. Reduced to 46%, this first independent bottling from the distillery is a festival of aromas, which retains aromas of malt and smoke.

Tasting note

Distilled in a Charentais still, Ninkasi 2016 is an intensely rich and fruity whisky, a real exotic fruit salad. The peat, of great delicacy, translates into a light smoke and aromas of toasted bread.
