The GlenAllachie 8 Year Old Scottish Virgin Oak is a distinctive Speyside single malt showcasing one of Scotland’s most unusual native cask types: Scottish Sessile Oak (Quercus petraea).

Initially matured in American oak ex-Bourbon barrels, the whisky undergoes approximately 18 months of additional maturation in specially selected virgin Scottish oak casks sourced from Scotland’s Atlantic coast.

Scottish oak is rarely used for whisky maturation, making this a particularly intriguing exploration of terroir, wood provenance and the influence of native oak on GlenAllachie’s rich, fruit-forward spirit.

Bottled at 48% ABV, with natural color and no chill filtration, the whisky delivers a generous combination of honeyed sweetness, citrus, chocolate and assertive oak spice.
