Tasting: Valdespino Sherry (September 11, 2021)

Join us on Saturday, September 11, 1:00 – 3:00 pm, at Norfolk Wine & Spirits, for a tasting of Valdespino Sherry with Jaime Gil, U.S. Area Manager, Valdespino, who will join us via Zoom from Spain!

Valdespino is one of the oldest bodegas in Jerez, dating back to the 15th century, but founded officially in 1875. The Valdespino family sold the company to Grupo Estévez in 1999. Valdespino is still sticking to old methods and traditions, and more than anyone else not only they stress the importance of terroir, but also they own and control hundreds of hectares where they cultivate the grapes they use to produce sherry. Valdespino’s technical director, Eduardo Ojeda, is part of Equipo Navazos — an independent project that bottles sherry and whisky.
