Sequoia Grove Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

Sequoia Grove is one of those great small family-run wineries in the prime Cabernet area of Napa Valley that has managed to remain under the radar. One of the best Cabs we’ve tasted in this price range, its full of the big tannins and a healthy dose of American Oak that Silver Oak fans love. Dark red/black in color, the nose gives an immediate aroma of raspberries and warm baking spices, leading into cassis and clove. The palate has elements of blackberries and spicy oak, with smooth, silky tannins and well balanced acidity.The grapes come from well-regarded vineyards in the Napa Valley and Sequoia Grove’s own estate vineyards in Rutherford.
