Roseisle 14 Years ‘Harmonic Grace’ (55.9%, OB, Diageo Special Releases 2025)

Matured in a combination of refill and rejuvenated casks

Nose: Hints of sponge cake, custard and lime stone alongside a touch of citrus. Also a touch of yellow plums and stewed apples with a pinch of cinnamon. Maybe some mandarins too, and also a feint grassiness. Quite enjoyable.
Taste: Creamy initially – a touch of vanilla ice cream with cocoa butter, then somewhat herbal, almost root-y and with a whisper of hops. Maybe some honey, certainly green pepper and also grapefruit. Water relieves some of the more bitter notes.
Finish: Medium length. Slightly cooling, some white pepper and walnuts. Finally pears.
