Querciabella Mongrana Toscana 2016

A blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot, Mongrana is beautifully built around a supple core of fruit. Harvested by hand at the peak of phenolic maturation, each variety being treated individually up to the final blend. Following gentle fermentation management, the wine undergoes élevage in stainless steel and cement for at least 10 months, until it is ready to be blended and bottled. Impressed with the 2016 vintage, James Suckling awarded it 95/100 points in his annual “Review of Italian Wines”.
