This expression is finished in rare Moscatel wine casks from Málaga, sourced in collaboration with Bodegas Quitapenas, a historic, family-owned winery founded in 1880. The casks are seasoned with aromatic Moscatel wine in American oak for two years before making their way to Midleton, where Redbreast Single Pot Still whiskey has been maturing since 2024.
The result is a beautifully layered whiskey that blends Redbreast’s signature pot still richness with a distinctly Mediterranean character — floral, honeyed, and gently sun-kissed. It’s a natural continuation of the Iberian Series, inspired by Ireland’s long history of importing fortified wines and guided by Master Blender David McCabe’s vision of balance and elegance.
