Yamazaki 18 Year Old represents a deeper, richer and considerably more mature expression of Japan’s historic Yamazaki Distillery.

Founded in 1923 as Japan’s first commercial malt whisky distillery, Yamazaki would eventually become one of the most internationally recognized names in Japanese whisky. Its acclaimed aged expressions played an important role in transforming Japanese whisky from a regional curiosity into one of the world’s most sought-after whisky categories.

The 18 Year Old is rich and layered, with mature fruit, dark cherry, dried fruit, chocolate and polished oak leading into notes of spice, incense and seasoned wood. Extended maturation and the influence of American, Spanish and Japanese Mizunara oak create a whisky with considerably greater depth and complexity while retaining the elegance for which Yamazaki is known.

The finish is long, warming and composed, with lingering dark fruit, spice and mature oak.
