A rare and beautifully mature expression from Old Pulteney, this limited-edition Highland Single Malt was distilled in 1983 at the Pulteney Distillery in Wick and matured for more than 33 years.

The whisky spent the majority of its long maturation in American oak ex-bourbon barrels before being transferred to Spanish oak ex-Oloroso sherry butts. The result combines Old Pulteney’s distinctive coastal character with the richness and complexity that comes from more than three decades in oak.

Tasting Notes: Rich aromas of chocolate, stewed fruit, toffee, spicy vanilla and oily citrus lead into a full, mouth-coating palate. Salted caramel, honey and dried fruits mingle with mature oak and gentle spice, followed by a long, creamy finish with the subtle maritime character for which Old Pulteney is known.
