Nikka Whisky Single Malt Miyagikyo Peated (Bottled in 2021)

Miyagikyo Single Malt Peated is a non‐chill-filtered whisky, limited to 20,000 bottles worldwide, crafted from batches of peated malt whiskies, showcasing its combination of peaty notes and boldness. The aftertaste boasts a signature estery hint.

Emiko Kaji, Nikka Whisky international business development manager, said: “It is an exciting process – like treasure hunting – to try various whisky batches from our vast reserve guided by Nikka blenders, and to create together products that embody the ‘Discovery’ concept.”

Masataka Taketsuru, who is thought to be the first Japanese person who went to Scotland, founded Nikka Whisky in 1934.
