Maine Audubon’s annual Loon Count provides a snapshot of Maine’s loon population that helps scientists and lawmakers conserve Maine loons and lakes. For 30 minutes, once a year, volunteers arrive early on the water to count one loon, after another one, after another one. The count is one way Maine Audubon measures the progress in protecting native wildlife.

Flavor Profile: Aromas of pineapple, mango, and guava with notes of orange, grapefruit, and melon. Undertones of earthy, woody pine, and faint onion and garlic.

Hops: Cascade, Citra, Simcoe.

Malt: American 2-Row, Red Wheat, Carapils.

Conservation Series:

The Conservation Series includes: Another One, Wolfe’s Neck, Woods & Waters, and Little Whaleboat — four existing IPAs from Maine Beer Company that represent a nonprofit doing meaningful work in land, wildlife, trail, and coastal conservation. These beers rotate on an annual basis.
