Mad River First Run Rum is a premium rum, made with cane sugar, in fresh charred American oak barrels — just like Mad River’s bourbon and rye. The result is simply stunning: a sipping rum with an initial “hit” of bourbon-like richness rapidly transitioning to a smooth and distinctly rum-caramel finish. Since its introduction, even the “I only drink whiskey” consumers have been pleasantly surprised by this rum! All of Mad River’s sugars are fair trade certified, all natural raw cane sugars sourced from Texas or Malawi, depending on the season.
