Join us for an exclusive lunch on May 7, 1:30 – 3:30 pm at Samba Restaurant (Framingham, MA) for a world whisky tasting with Tal Chotiner (VP of Global Sales, Milk & Honey, Israel) and David Cover (Global Brand Ambassador, Penderyn, Wales)
Milk & Honey is Israel’s first whisky distillery. Israel’s 300 sunny days in an average year and the Mediterranean climate are our greatest advantage. Hot climate maturation means that our whisky ages rapidly, yet significantly gracefully. Whisky made in warmer weather takes on specific terroir which yields unique flavors that somewhat differ from their Old-World counterparts.
Penderyn produce award-winning single malt whiskies and spirits at their distillery on the foothills of the Brecon Beacons National Park, Wales, UK. Distilling in Wales was a lost art, but in the late 1990s, a group of friends chatted about establishing the first whisky distillery in Wales in over a century. A unique copper single-pot still designed by Dr David Faraday, a relative of the great 19th-century scientist Michael Faraday, was installed. On St David’s Day 2004 Penderyn whisky was launched in the presence of HRH Prince Charles.
About Tal Chotiner:
Tal is Milk & Honey Vice President of Global Sales with over 20 years of experience in the world of whisky. Tal used to work for Diageo in Israel and was a Johnnie Walker Brand Ambassador for the Middle East and “Single Malt advocate” from Diageo. When Tal is in Israel his job is to interrupt Tomer’s work with crazy ideas and stupid questions
About David Cover:
Self proclaimed ‘whisky nerd,’ David Cover is the Global Brand Ambassador for Penderyn Distillery. Having worked in every area of the distillery over five years, from distilling to bottling, he travels the world (when pandemics allow) educating everyone on the joys of Welsh Gold.
