🇺🇸🥃 Lost Lantern – United States of Bourbon Cask Strength
A Blend of Straight Bourbons from All Fifty States

The United States of Bourbon Cask Strength is perhaps one of the most ambitious American whiskey projects ever undertaken.

Created by Lost Lantern, this release brings together straight bourbon from all fifty states, with each state represented by a single distillery personally visited and selected by the Lost Lantern team over a five-year period. The result is a whiskey that captures the extraordinary diversity of modern American bourbon in a single bottle.

Unlike the 100 Proof edition, this expression is presented at its natural cask strength, allowing the full character of the blend to shine through. The companion 1776 Edition is an even more limited release, composed exclusively of bourbons from the original thirteen colonies.

Tasting Notes

The nose opens with rich vanilla and oak spice, layered with hints of nutmeg and clove. The palate delivers remarkable depth and complexity, with oak, fruit, and spice working in harmony. Notes of black raspberry, dark chocolate, leather, and baking spices create a whiskey that is both powerful and balanced. The finish is long, warming, and expressive.

🇺🇸 United States of Bourbon

Fifty States. Fifty Distilleries. One Bourbon.

For the first time ever, a single whiskey brings together straight bourbon from all 50 U.S. states, with each state represented by a single distillery personally visited, vetted, and selected by Lost Lantern over a five-year period.

This is not simply a blend. It is a snapshot of modern American whiskey.

Some components come from:

Coastal distilleries influenced by maritime aging conditions
Great Plains producers benefiting from dramatic temperature and pressure swings
Historic distilleries with pre-Prohibition roots
Emerging craft distilleries that only recently reached the two-year minimum age required for straight bourbon
Family farms growing their own grain
Independent producers supporting local agricultural communities

The result is a whiskey that showcases the incredible diversity of bourbon being made across America today.

Why This Matters

A decade ago, this whiskey would have been impossible. Many states either had no bourbon distilleries or had producers too young to meet the legal requirements for straight bourbon.

Today, every state has a bourbon distillery capable of contributing to a national blend. The United States of Bourbon is therefore more than a whiskey—it is a celebration of the American craft distilling renaissance.

For bourbon enthusiasts, collectors, and anyone interested in the evolution of American whiskey, this may be one of the most significant releases of the decade. It is difficult to think of another whiskey that so comprehensively captures the current landscape of American bourbon in a single bottle.

“A bird’s-eye view of bourbon across America.” 🇺🇸🥃
