A 17-year-old single grain Scotch whisky from Edinburgh’s historic North British Distillery, matured in red wine hogsheads and bottled by Living Souls at 48.0% ABV.
The wine casks add a darker fruit dimension to mature grain whisky, moving the profile toward caramelized biscuits, stewed fruits and rich dessert notes while retaining the accessible sweetness associated with well-aged grain.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Caramel biscuits, stewed fruit and crumbly Scottish tablet.

Distillery Profile – North British
The North British Distillery was established in Edinburgh in 1885 and began production in 1887. It remains one of Scotland’s major grain whisky distilleries and is jointly owned by Diageo and The Edrington Group. North British continues to use maize in its grain recipe, producing a comparatively sweet, weighty style that is particularly interesting when given extended maturation or bottled independently.
