Justin Girardin Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2020

The Girardin family has been producing well-regarded wines from some of Burgundy’s finest Crus since World War II. Young Justin took the reins of the family estate just four years ago, but his touch with the Pinot Noir grape is clearly displayed in this supple and charming wine. Harvested by hand from fifty-year-old vines on the estate, this medium-weight and approachable Bourgogne rouge is aged half in premium Allier and Vosges oak barrels and half in stainless steel. This combination allows for freshness in the red berry fruits, subtlety in the herbal accents and a savory warmth to the gentle finish.
