High Heaven Vintners Chardonnay Cloud Mountain Columbia Valley 2019

Background
With more than a century of winemaking and farming experience, High Heaven Vintners believes in growing great grapes first to make amazing wine. Located in Eastern Washington State, High Heaven Vintners is inspired by the natural backdrop that surrounds their vines. High Heaven Vintners wines are estate grown and bottled. This means 100% of the grapes are grown or controlled by the winery.

TERROIR & VINTAGE NOTES
Vineyards are located in the “rain shadow” formed by the Cascade Mountains. This unique cloud and rain barrier protects the vines from harsh element and creates a sunny, dry climate ideal for grape growing.

Winemaking & Aging
Whole cluster Chardonnay grapes are lightly pressed and free-run juice is cold settled for two days. The wine is then aged on malolactic lees for seven months before being moved to stainless steel vats for 18 months.

Tasting Notes
Pale straw and gold. Fresh apple, pear, nectarine, and pineapple are framed with notes of brioche and cream. Flavors of creamy pastry over caramelized zesty fruit are enhanced by a full body and velvety texture. Juicy, ripe, and complex.
