The second annual release from Glenfiddich’s partnership with the Aston Martin Formula One Team takes the 16 Year Old in a distinctly richer and more complex direction.

For Release No. 2, Glenfiddich Malt Master Brian Kinsman brings together whisky matured across five different cask types: first-fill Bourbon barrels, Port pipes, Oloroso Sherry casks, red wine casks, and Fino Sherry butts.

This expanded five-cask recipe represents a significant evolution from the inaugural 2025 release. Port and Fino Sherry bring additional depth, dried-fruit richness and structure, while the Fino and oak contribute a noticeably drier counterpoint to Glenfiddich’s naturally fruity Speyside character.

Expect aromas of stewed fruits, delicate florals, marzipan and polished leather. The palate opens with creamy, buttery toffee and rich fruit, developing layers of Sherry, oak and gentle tannin before moving toward a drier, warming finish with lingering woody sweetness.

At 16 years old and 43% ABV, Release No. 2 offers an unusually elaborate maturation for Glenfiddich while retaining the approachable elegance for which the distillery is known.
