About the producer
Each time he looked at the landscape of Seyssuel when travelling to Lyon, Yves found that the slopes were especially well exposed. At the same time, motivated by curiosity, Pierre delved into the works of historic writers such as Olivier de Serres, Plutarque, Pline and André Jullien. He found passages praising the wines of Vienne during the Roman era, the Middle Ages and the 19th century. As for Francois, he decided to go check out the soils up close. Each strongly believed that this old “forgotten” vineyard had enormous potential. A restaurant, a solid friendship, strong convictions and a pact led to the official creation of “Les Vins de Vienne” in 1996.
