Chalk Hill Sonoma Coast Chardonnay 2018

Chalk Hill’s Sonoma Coast chardonnay is always a great bargain, and the new 2018 vintage is no exception. Bold and aggressive with notes of figs, buttered popcorn, and spiced pears, the wine doesn’t hold back, pouring on notes of vanilla and coconut milk as things build on the palate. Medium to full-bodied, the palate offers plenty of apple and pear goodness, with a satiny texture and lively line, finishing creamy. It expresses beguiling aromas of lemon meringue, orange blossom and a hint of toasted almond from the oak influence. Balanced and full with concentrated flavors of Meyer lemon, yellow apple, and creme brulee follow on the palate.
