Beaune Champs-Pimont 1er Cru Rouge 2016
$124.99
Jacques Prieur’s Beaune Champs-Pimont 1er Cru Rouge comes from vineyards located in the municipality of Beaune, in Burgundy, the cradle of high-quality French wines. Intense ruby red with fine and precise notes of dark berries, evolving with aeration into spicy and slightly leather/tobacco notes. Crunchy featuring dark berries and very slightly toasted notes on the mouth. Thick on the finish with dense, ripe and salivating tannins. An ultra-fresh, cool and admirably pure nose offers up notes of various red berries, plum, violet and an interesting hint of mandarin orange peel. There is terrific punch to the highly energetic and beautifully well-detailed middle weight flavors that also flash plenty of minerality on the firm finale.
