Araldica La Luciana, Gavi 2020

Gavi has long been a well loved Piedmontese white wine and it’s often got more going on than a lot of Pinot Grigios. It’s made from Piedmont’s main white grape variety, Cortese, and this one from Araldica has, with good reason, been one of our stalwarts for a long time. It has a zesty citrus fruit and lightly floral character, with hints of apple and pear showing through nicely. The fresh, steely acidity and underlying minerality is well balanced by notes of melon and stone fruit, and a touch of fennel and spice.
