Portuguese Wine Tasting with Augusto Gabriel

While Portugal may be best known as the world’s supplier of Port wines, it also has a wine making tradition dating back, literally, thousands of years. With a broad range of indigenous grapes ranging from light, tropical flavored whites to deep and hearty reds, there is enough variety to match any meal. And today, with prices for even everyday wines from California, France and Italy continuing to skyrocket, informed buyers are turning to emerging markets where the quality is high and the pricing more moderate. Portugal is one of the leading regions in this category.

With this in mind we are fortunate and delighted to have Augosto Gabriel host a wine tasting on November 15th from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM. Born in Portugal, Augosto is known in the wine industry as one of the leading Portuguese wine experts in the country. Along with offering detailed information about Portuguese wine regions, their indigenous grapes, and wine making traditions, we’ll be sampling a selection of wines to please every palette.
