anCnoc Scotch Whisky Tasting with Nick Taylor

Nick Taylor from Taylor & Taylor Whisky Co. guides us through a tasting of anCnoc single malts from the Knockdhu distillery in the Highland region of Scotland. The tasting lineup will include the award winning peated anCnocs – Rutter, Flaughter, and Cutter – peated to 11.0, 14.8 and 20.5 ppm levels. This is a rare opportunity to experience how different ppm levels impact a whisky.

We’ll also look at how anCnoc distillate matures in ex-Bourbon barrels and Sherry casks at various ages. The grand finale will be a sampling of anCnoc 1975. Drawn from only three Spanish and American oak casks, it was bottled at 39 years old in 2014 without coloring or chill-filtration.
