The Valdespino family sold the company to Grupo Estévez in 1999. Each cask selected is bottled at natural cask strength\, free from chill filtering and artificial color\, with the distillery source front and center. They also bottle American bourbon\, rye\, single malt\, light whisky (aka American grain whisky)\, rum\, and mezcal. \nThe Single Malts of Scotland is an independent bottler based in the U.K.\, imported in the U.S. by ImpEx Beverages. They search for casks from the different distilleries around Scotland\, looking for the best malts to share with whisky enthusiasts the world over. As a “single estate producer” every part of the process from growing the grapes\, to distilling the spirit in their wood-fired stills\, to aging the Armganac is done at the Domaine. And when we say tiny we mean fewer than 1000 bottles are made available in the United States each year. \nLocated on the sandy soils of Bas Armagnac\, the Domaine only produces the robust\, low alcohol and high acidity Baco grapes that are perfect for producing an Armagnac aged exclusively in new oak. Charron has been consistently winning gold at renowned competitions including ISW\, Meiningers International Spirits Award\, Concours des Bas-Armagnacs Landais\, Talents de l’Armagnac and others. \nStay tuned!
